TWO men appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with a burglary at a home on Westlands Road, Darlington in the early hours of May 18.
The pair were accused of stealing various goods from the home, including mobile phones, a camera and cash.
David Pendlebury, 25, of Salisbury Terrace, Darlington, withheld his plea to the charge.
He was refused bail and will next appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court via video link on Wednesday.
Co-accused Mervyn Hodge, 21, of Corporation Road, Darlington pleaded not guilty to the offence.
He was also refused bail and remanded in custody to appear before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court via video link on the same day. Both will face a committal hearing on June 28.
