POLICE have pledged to take firm action against anyone committing crime at a music festival next weekend.
Thousands of revellers are expected to attend the Hi-Fi festival on land near Matfen, Northumberland, on Saturday.
The party is expected to go on until 4am on Sunday, and officers will take a "robust" approach against all crimes, including drug and alcohol misuse.
Police yesterday said there would be a large uniformed presence, including mounted police and sniffer dogs.
Performers will include former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown.
