YOUNGSTERS from Ravensworth School, in Normanby, graced a Premiership football ground with their talents this week.
The team were representing Middlesbrough in the finals of the Premier League Schools Tournament at Charlton Athletic's Valley Parade.
The under-11 side came through a series of games, including a regional final, to get to the finals where they played against teams representing West Bromwich Albion, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Despite a good start to the competition, with a 2-0 victory over West Brom, their next two games ended in a draw and a defeat meaning they narrowly missed a place in the final.
Headteacher Kevin Skelton said: "The team did us proud. They gave their all and played really well against some of the best teams in the country.
"They were devastated to miss out on a place in the final but it was always going to be a really close competition."
