A SET of new wheels has been bought to help improve links between secondary and primary schools in Darlington.
The 17-seater minibus has been bought by Hurworth School Maths and Computing College and Eastbourne Comprehensive as part of the Darlington Cluster of Schools scheme.
There are five clusters in the town and they aim to develop partnerships and help with the transition from primary to secondary schools.
James Keating, deputy headteacher at Hurworth School, said: "For the first time in Darlington we have received funding for the cluster of schools.
"Eastbourne and ourselves, along with a number of primary schools, form one cluster.
"With some of the funding we have received, we decided to buy a minibus and it has all our artwork on the side."
The minibus will transport pupils to and from the gifted and talented clubs and other events.
