FOSTER carers from across the Darlington borough attended a social event this week to celebrate Foster Care Fortnight.
Darlington Fostering Service held a coffee morning for carers in the town, at Blackwell Grange Hotel, and looked to encourage other people to volunteer for the role.
Officials highlighted the demand for foster carers in the borough, who can look after children on a short or long-term basis, or to offer respite or emergency care.
They are supported by a social worker and are also provided with training.
Anyone interested in becoming a foster carer can contact the fostering service on (01325) 346208.
