LESSONS came alive to the sound of music thanks to a charity formed by the late violinist Yehudi Menuhin.
Two professional young musicians from Live Music Now! visited Henshaws College, Harrogate, to inspire the visually impaired students with sounds from around the world.
Feargus Hetherington on the fiddle and guitarist Matthew McAllister explored melodies that included tangos from Argentina, flamencos from Spain and French-inspired gipsy music.
Live Music Now! is a social and educational scheme founded in 1977 by Menuhin. It takes high-quality musical performances to a wide variety of settings across the UK, particularly to those places where live music is rarely played.
Henshaws student volunteer co-ordinator Asha Munn said: "Music is very important to our students and these workshops were so popular last spring that we wanted Live Music Now! to inspire the students once again."
