A GUIDED walk across a Teesdale beauty spot takes place next month.
The walk along Widdybank Fell nature trail, in Upper Teesdale, will be led by English Nature's Green Guides.
Walkers and guides will look at the different plants and how they relate to the rock types underneath.
There will also be the chance to see the rare sugar limestone remains of a barytes mine.
The walk is along a surfaced track suitable for wheelchairs, but there are three steep sections and the last 150m to the top of Cauldron Snout is only accessible to those on foot.
Upper Teesdale estate worker, Bethan Brown, said: "The walks are a great opportunity for people to come and find out about the birds and plants that make the area so special, and are at their best at this time of year."
Participants are asked to meet at Cow Green Reservoir car park at 2pm for the walk, which will finish at about 5pm. For further information and to book a place, call (01833) 622374.
