ALLOWANCES paid to members of a council for the past financial year have been published.

Each Richmondshire District councillor receives £2,749.05, plus additional responsibility payments.

These are allocated to the council chairman and leader, and chairmen and vice-chairmen of committees.

An allowance of £133.84 per member is paid to the secretary of each political group for administration.

Allowances exclude travel and subsistence and not all members claim.
