A TEAM from a job centre has reached the final three of the Government category in the Public Servants of the Year Awards.
The Hartlepool Action Team for Jobs has beaten off competition from nearly 300 nominees and will be honoured at a ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel tomorrow.
It was shortlisted for its work to increase employment in the area through initiatives such as a mobile unit which visits venues in Hartlepool and a permanent market stall.
Project manager Judith Hall said: "It is a true delight for our efforts to be recognised and to be part of such a wonderful event."
The winner will be in the running to secure the title of Outstanding Public Service Team of the Year.
