POLICE have renewed their appeal for a missing mother-of-two to get in contact with them as they widened their search.
Jeanette Nixon, 27, of Yarm Road, Darlington has not been seen for more than a week after she left a pub at 11pm last Monday.
She was with a friend in the Queen's Head, Tubwell Row, Darlington, but left while her friend was at the toilet.
Detective Inspector Paul Harker said she had given no hint she was about to leave.
He said: "We believe Miss Nixon may have left the region, although we have no confirmed sightings of her. It is possible she is in the Brighton area.
"It is totally out of character for Miss Nixon to go missing and her family are very worried about her.
"I would urge her to make contact with police as soon as possible."
She is described as 5ft 4in, of medium build, with collar-length brown hair and brown eyes. She has a distinctive tattoo at the top of her left arm, depicting a baby with the name Jordan. She was wearing a pink T-shirt, black trousers and white sandals.
