THE chairman of Darlington FC has vowed that money raised from ticket increases will be used to buy players.
Chairman George Houghton gave the news as he revealed details of season ticket prices for next season.
Fans buying season tickets will be offered one free carvery voucher and preferential booking for fans' forums and other events at the 96.6 TFM Arena.
They will also be able to buy a seasonal car parking pass for £100 and receive discount vouchers for refreshments in the ground.
Mr Houghton said: "Any incremental revenue from season tickets will be diverted to the playing budget.
"I believe a club with Darlington's potential should be in the running for promotion or, at the very least, be in a play-off place, so this money would be used to give the manager every chance of achieving that success."
Current ticket holders have until June 2 to renew at a cost of £272. New applications can be made from June 5.
Children's season tickets begin at £85 for those aged seven to ten and a family ticket costs from £680. Under-sevens go free.
