A PUB has reopened under new management after being closed for two years.
The Arden Arms, at Atley Hill, between Northallerton and Darlington, has been taken over by a young couple who have high hopes for the award-winning venue.
Alex Liddle, who was born and brought up in Reeth, Swaledale, and his partner, Charlotte Parry, moved in a week ago and are cleaning and decorating ready to open on Wednesday.
The couple plan to specialise in real ale and traditional Yorkshire food, including several game dishes.
The pub won the Pub Food Awards dessert pub of the year title in 2002.
