POLICE are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a teenager who has gone missing from home.
Damian Davison, 14, of Silverdale Place, Newton Aycliffe, went missing an hour after arriving at his school in Durham at 9am on Tuesday, having travelled there by taxi.
The youngster has short auburn hair and is of thin build.
When last seen he was wearing a light grey hooded sweat top, dark blue tracksuit bottoms, black trainers and a watch with a black strap.
PC Helen Moiser said the boy is understood to have family on Tyneside and Wearside and it is possible he could be in either of those areas.
She said: "We have spoken to friends of Damian, but our inquiries so far have failed to establish his whereabouts.
"In view of his age, we are concerned for his wellbeing and would urge him to make contact with home or the police, so that we know he is safe."
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Newton Aycliffe police on 0845 60 60 365.
