AN animal charity is searching for a new home for a greyhound named Jack.
The dog was picked up as a stray in the Durham area and was taken in by the National Animal Sanctuaries Support League (NASSL), near Darlington. He is ten months old and a fawn colour.
Pauline Wilson, of NASSL, said: "He is a really nice dog, he is fine with cats and other dogs and is desperate for a nice home. He would be a good second dog and a good companion. We would like somebody who is home most of the day, because he needs a fair bit of attention.
"Perhaps somebody who has had a greyhound before would like to take him in. They are a very responsive and intelligent breed, but also very laid back."
Anyone who would like to offer Jack a home is asked to contact Mrs Wilson on 07748 268822, or (01325) 321855.
