A SPATE of crimes, including a firearms incident, were reported in Hurworth over the past month.
Police community support officer John Angus attended Hurworth Parish Council on May 9 to give his crime report.
He said a fence and gate had been damaged by a motorbike at Glebe Hall Farm, a window of the bar at Hurworth Grange had been broken, and that a youth had been arrested for setting fire to a fence at Hurworth School.
"There was a burglary in Belgrave Terrace, in which someone took a radiator and equipment from an outbuilding," said Mr Angus.
"They also broke into a car at the property and stole a wallet, cards and keys.
"There was also one firearms incident. Someone reported a youth firing an air rifle at wildlife at the rear of Hurworth Grange.
"However, he had gone when the police arrived."
A drunken person was also reported causing a disturbance outside a house on The Green.
Mr Angus said: "The bottle banks which were set on fire at the Grange have been logged as criminal damage, but I classed it as arson.
"There is no news on those behind it. However, my investigations will continue."
