WALKERS are being invited to take a stroll through the bluebells in woodlands and raise cash for a children's charity at the same time.
The 15th annual guided walk around the woodlands of Durham City takes place on Sunday to raise vital funds for the NSPCC.
The walk starts at 3pm from Houghall College, led by experienced guide Alan Rose.
Walkers will be able to sample the beauty of Houghall Woods, walking through bluebells, watching the wildlife and listening to the woodland birdsong.
Steve Medd, community appeals manager for the NSPCC, said: "The bluebell walk promises to be a fantastic day out for all the family.
"People taking part in the walk can use the opportunity to get fit, have a great day out and raise money to help children at the same time."
Tickets for the walk are £4 per adult and £2.50 per child and will include an afternoon cream tea served after the walk.
Anyone interested in taking part is asked to call 0191-386 4874.
