Youngsters will be going coast to coast to raise money for a baby hospice in Middlesbrough.
The four young people will be embarking on a coast-to-coast bike ride from Whitehaven to Middlesbrough from May 19 to 21 May, a distance of about 150 miles.
All money they raise will be donated to Zoe's Place, a baby hospice based in Normanby.
Taking part in the ride are staff members Bill Tate, Pete Barnes and Alan Duffield, and youngsters Stephen Carey, Lee Bailey, Jamie Cosker and David Corley, all from the Make-a-Change group, based at the Southlands Centre in Middlesbrough.
The group is a partnership project between Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust, Middlesbrough Council and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council which helps young people under the age of 18, providing them with advice and information about drugs and alcohol.
Bill Tate, resource worker, said: "This is a fantastic gesture by the lads. Too often, youngsters are the subject of so many negative perceptions, so it's refreshing to see them wanting to put something back into the local community."
