TIME is running out for residents to have their voice heard about public spaces in their borough.
Stockton Borough Council is looking at the quality and quantity of public spaces, such as formal public squares, churchyards and roadside amenity areas, as well as parks and sports pitches.
It has opened up the audit to residents of the borough to insure no site has been missed out, and is inviting people to give their comments by 5pm on Monday.
Full details of all the sites included in the audit may be found in libraries, at the reception of the planning department, at Gloucester House, in Church Road, and on the council's website www.stockton.gov.uk/openspace
Councillor Bob Cook, the council's cabinet member for regeneration and transportation, said: "We always welcome comments and feedback which helps us to improve the borough for both visitors and residents.
"Once we have received all feedback from residents, we will use this information to help us to improve our open spaces in the future."
At the end of the consultation period, the comments received will be assessed alongside the initial findings to insure the survey is complete, and standards have been applied consistently.
