VAN PLEA: Police are appealing for a van driver to contact them following a road incident on Friday.
The driver of the burgundy Transit-type van was involved in a near-miss at about 9.35pm when a taxi lost control in Plantation Road, Redcar.
The taxi - a white Vauxhall Vectra from J&P Cars - swerved into on-coming traffic, narrowly missing the van. Officers want to speak to the driver of the van and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Gary Morgan on (01642) 302639.
