A THEATRE group has announced details of its tenth anniversary season.
North Country Theatre was established at a meeting in Richmond in 1996.
Ten years later, the company has given more than 800 performances and travelled more than 100,000 miles.
To mark the group's landmark anniversary, members are reviving their first production, The 39 Steps.
The play will open at the Zetland Centre, in Richmond, on May 26, before going on tour.
Artistic director Nobby Dimon said: "Everyone has their favourite and we are constantly asked to revive this or that production.
"We have responded in this anniversary year with a mixture of old and new."
The company will also revive another old favourite, Mak The Sheepstealer.
The play is a medieval mystery, which will be performed in churches in and around the Dales.
The group will then stage a new adaptation of The Man Who Would be King, by Rudyard Kipling, for a tour across the region.
The company will also continue its educational work with the National Trust, English Heritage and schools in North Yorkshire.
Mr Dimon said: "It promises to be another exciting year."
Tickets for The 39 Steps are available from Richmond Tourist Information Centre or by calling (01748) 825288.
