TEN mopeds have been bought by a charity which provides cheap transport to young people.
Wheels 2 Work is now looking for young Wensleydale and Swaledale residents who could use one of the bikes.
Co-ordinator Andrew Johnston said: "The scheme has proved highly effective over the past five years in assisting people who live in deeply rural communities, several miles from the nearest public transport service, to access work, training or educational opportunities."
The charity now has a fleet of 50 mopeds. The bikes were bought with funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
Scheme participants pay a nominal weekly fee to use a moped. Training and clothing is provided. For details, call (01609) 761682 .
