PEOPLE going to Harrogate's Spring Flower Show seeking a new look for their gardens are being asked to take some basic measurements of their plots
Whether it is an expansive area or a tiny terrace, expert designers at the event at the Great Yorkshire Showground will be giving advice on how to transform it.
The Garden Design Clinic is a new feature of the show, which runs from April 27 to 30.
Visitors can book a free 20-minute consultation with a member of a landscape design team.
All that is needed in addition to the basic measurements is a rough sketch of the garden or photographs of the plot.
A spokesman for organisers, the North of England Horticultural Society, said desingners will advise on lay-out, construction and planting.
Meanwhile, award-winning displays from more than 100 of the country's top horticultural nurseries will be on show and growers will offer expert advice on plant selection and after-care.
Last year, the show - most of which is under cover - attracted 57,417 visitors, just short of the 2004 record of 61,386.
Tickets bought before noon on April 18 attract a £2 discount. Prices on the day are Thursday £14; Friday and Saturday £12; Sunday £11. To book, call 0870 758 3333 or visit www.flowershow.org.uk
