A STRAY dog was found by RSPCA inspectors with its mouth taped shut and its fur partially shaved.
The female Doberman-type dog was found in Cockfield on Wednesday with gaffer tape around her mouth and suffering from mange, along with cuts and sores.
The animal was taken to Wilson Veterinary Group for treatment, and the tape has been handed over the police, who will look for fingerprints.
RSPCA inspector Gavin Butterfield said: "Someone must know this dog. We'd like to know who's responsible."
Anybody with information should call Inspector Butterfield at the RSPCA on 08705 555999.
