A HEADTEACHER is returning to his former school.
Michael Abraham is to return as head of Teesside Preparatory School, in Eaglescliffe, in September after working for a year at a preparatory school in the Lake District.
The school said Mr Abraham was a popular headteacher with both children and parents, and had over the years, built the nursery, pre-prep and prep departments into a "thriving, dynamic and happy school" before leaving last year.
"Teesside Preparatory School is an exceptional school and I was delighted to be asked to return," said Mr Abraham.
"I am looking forward to meeting the parents and pupils again, many of whom were really good friends of mine. I also look forward to working with the team of staff on the challenges which lie ahead."
The school has recently announced the introduction of boys into a "diamond-structure" school, in which girls and boys will be taught the core subjects in separate classes between the ages of seven and 16.
"I am a great advocate of single-sex education," said Mr Abraham.
