DEVELOPERS hoping to build 36 apartments on waste ground in Darlington town centre are to meet local residents to discuss the plans.
Representatives of Durham-based Dunelm Castle Homes will hold a consultation session about proposals to build the development in Melland Street and Parkgate.
Plans will be available to view and a model of the proposed apartments will also be available.
The development, accessed from Melland Street, would consist of two blocks of apartments, which would have off-street and courtyard parking.
The buildings would be up to three-and-half storeys and constructed from a mixture of red brickwork, white render and natural timber cladding.
In addition, some of the apartments would have metal grey-painted balconies.
The larger block, which would contain 22 flats, will also feature a prominent tower on the south-west corner.
The proposals will be discussed at the Central Community Partnership at St James' Church Hall, in Albert Hill, on Monday, April 24, at 7.15pm.
