POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Trimdon Village which left a man injured.
At about 5.35pm on Monday, a metallic blue saloon car was travelling out of the village towards Hurworth Burn when it was in collision with a Vauxhall Combi van.
The car failed to stop, and carried on in the direction of Hartlepool. The incident happened opposite the cemetery in Trimdon Village and police are hoping that witnesses, or the driver of the car, will come forward.
