A SELL-OUT concert given by a military band in Northallerton has raised more than £2,000 for charity.
The concert, at Hambleton Forum, by the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment, was jointly organised by RAF Leeming and Hambleton District Council.
It raised funds for the RAF Benevolent Fund and the Friends of the Friarage Hospital, the chosen charity of council chairman Peter Brown.
With a reputation for outstanding performances, the band was formed in 1942 and has performed in Iraq, Cyprus, The Falklands and Belize.
Leeming station commander Wing Commander Ian Vallely said: "Our place in the local community remains of vital importance, and the concert was another example of how we can work in partnership."
