TWO teenagers are facing lengthy prison sentences after today admitting putting a frail pensioner through a terrifying rape ordeal in her home.
David Humphrey, of Deepdale Avenue, Middlesbrough, and Lee Beazley, of Dalcross Court, Hemlington, will be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court on Friday, April 21.
The 19-year-olds were remanded in custody after their brief appearance before The Recorder of Middlesbrough, Judge Peter Fox, QC, today.
Humphrey has admitted three charges of rape, and Beazley has pleaded guilty to two charges of rape.
The pair have also admitted threatening the 65-year-old woman with a knife and a joint charge of aggravated burglary in which a mobile phone, jewellery and cash was stolen.
The pensioner's ordeal lasted for several hours at her home in Marton, Middlesbrough, on September 29 last year.
The attack was so savage that one senior detective said: "Short of murder, this is the worst attack I have dealt with in 26 years of police service."
