CHILDREN and pensioners across Darlington will receive an Easter surprise from a motorcycling club.
The Coyote Motorcycle Club forms for only one day every year when its members deliver Easter eggs across the town.
Last year, 394 eggs were delivered to Darlington Memorial Hospital.
But this year, the plan is to take the surprise to children's and old people's homes across the town.
It will be the 16th time the extravaganza has taken place.
About 150 motorcycles are expected to turn up at the Oak Tree, Middleton St George, to deliver the eggs.
Landlord Brian Faloona said: "It is a fantastic event.
"All the children shout and scream when the eggs are brought.
"It is like Father Christmas is coming again."
He is also appealing for people to drop off eggs at the pub on Yarm Road.
Others arrive by post and the police also make their own donation.
The club starts off from the pub at 1pm on Easter Saturday, April 15, to deliver the eggs.
A celebration will be held during the evening, including a buffet and performances from local bands The Travelling Wheelbarrows and DVD.
For more information, call the pub on (01325) 332642.
