Schoolchildren are being encouraged to create a healthy lifestyle.
Pupils at Heathfield Primary School, Darlington, have each designed mosaic tiles on the theme of travel to school and playground games.
The work was supervised by artist Kirstie Briggs-Bateman, who came into school for a week. She chose the best tiles from each class to erect a mosaic in the school playground.
The designs included bikes, skateboards, pogo sticks as well as dancing, walking and skipping.
Teacher Judith Hamilton said: "We want to encourage the children to come on their bikes to school and to get some exercise."
Heathfield Primary School has the highest number of children in the Darlington borough cycling to school. The mosaic will be unveiled on April 5 when the school holds an event called Wheely Wednesday.
