BORO player Colin Cooper will open a community celebration event on Friday.
The Joint Trimdon Regeneration Partnership and Trimdon 2000 have organised an open day at Trimdon Grange Community Centre, on Salter's Lane, from 4pm to 7pm.

Event co-ordinator Trudy Ranson said: "We are trying to getting everyone to come along, to look into its past, make use of what is here now and enable visitors to shape its future."
Free transport will be available for residents, call (01429) 883063 for details.
