FOOTBALL legends Malcolm "Supermac" McDonald and Eric Gates will host a charity evening in Stanley to raise money for cancer patients.
The Football Talk-In will be held at Stanley Central Club, and will give fans the chance to discuss the beautiful game with them.
There will also be an auction of football memorabilia.
The evening has been organised by the Stanley Lions to raise money for The Emmanuel House holistic therapy centre in Lobley Hill, Gateshead.
The centre is run by Christine Deponio, who is blind.
Stanley Lions had been in danger of folding but is now going from strength to strength after acquiring six new members.
President John Penney said: "We were in danger of not being able to continue because you need numbers to run a function.
"We have been very fortunate and got some young lads who are about the 30-mark and it is good to have young blood.
"They move with the times and the Football Talk In was their idea, and others include casino nights in the future."
The Football Talk In is on April 13 and costs £10, which includes a pies and peas supper.
Tickets are available from the club and the doors open 7pm.
For help from the Stanley Lions or to volunteer services write to Mr Penney at 3 Colbeck Avenue, Swallwell, Tyne and Wear, NE16 3EB.
