A Spennymoor publican has won a holiday for the second successive year after impressive trading.
John Park, landlord of The Victoria, in Villiers Street, won the competition run by the pub's operator, the Tadcaster Pub Company.
It follows another impressive 12 months at the pub where Mr Park smashed targets.
He said: "I was stunned to find out I had won a holiday last year, but to repeat the feat is amazing. There is a lot of competition for business among pubs in Spennymoor, so it is full credit to my loyal customers that I am in this position. All my staff work hard as a team to make them feel welcome and it is nice to be rewarded for a job well done."
Last year, Mr Park and his wife, Christine, enjoyed a break in the Lake Garda region of Italy.
The Victoria exceeded its sales target by 17 per cent last year.
Mr Park said: "We have not really thought about where we will go, but we are both excited about phoning the travel agent to see what's available."
