SHOPPERS will be able to pick up more than they bargained for when in Middlesbrough today.
Captain Cook Square shopping precinct is giving a free canvas shopping bag to anyone spending £20 or more at stores in the centre.
One thousand bags will be available from outside TK Maxx to give away on a first come, first served basis and only one bag is available per person.
Lynn Stainsby, centre manager, said: "We felt this bag is something practical and useful."
