VICTIMS of domestic violence are to benefit from the exertions of community development worker Emily Munday.
Emily will spend 11 days trekking across the 100-mile Annupurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, in Nepal.
The venture has been organised by Family Help, a charity which relies on donations and fundraising for the services it provides.
Emily, who works with residents of Northgate and Cockerton East wards in Darlington and is a committee member of the charity, said: "I have been training and am really looking forward to the challenge.
"Family Help is a good cause and I hope to raise a lot of money to continue the good work."
Anyone who would like to sponsor Emily is asked to call her on (01325) 389677.
Alternatively, sponsorship forms are available at Maidendale House community centre in Firthmoor.
