A RIPON city centre housing plan which sparked widespread opposition has been withdrawn by developers ahead of next week's meeting of Harrogate Borough Council planning committee.
Leeds Federated Housing Association's plan for two blocks of affordable housing on the Sharow View site, Allhallowgate, sparked a protest petition signed by almost 100 residents.
A site visit by planners will go ahead in advance of the meeting, in case a revised plan is presented in the future.
