THE tireless work of dedicated fundraisers has again provided their local hospital with vital equipment.
Patients at the Friarage Hospital, in Northallerton, will benefit from more than £12,000 worth of medical equipment, thanks to the volunteers of the Friends of the Friarage.
Allen ward, which cares for patients having orthopaedic surgery, now has a new infusion pump, which dispenses the correct amount of fluids or medicines patients need to help them recover from surgery, plus other essential medical equipment to benefit patients.
Staff nurse Anne Kitching said: "The Friends have a long history of helping us here at the Friarage and they make such a difference to the hospital thanks to their dedication and enthusiasm.
"We are very grateful to them for the new equipment and much appreciate their assistance."
