YOUNGSTERS stepped back in time to relive the Victorian era.
Green Gates Primary School, Redcar, held a re-enactment day when the highlight was a visit by the Saltburn Victorians and Queen Victoria.
All children at the school from nine to 11 were also wearing Victorian-style clothing which they made themselves.
All modern technology disappeared from the classrooms, and the children experienced how it was to be educated during that period.
Headteacher Samantha Fiske said: "The majority of the pupils came to school dressed in Victorian costumes and they absolutely loved the experience.
"They gained such a lot from the re-enactment - they could see first-hand what education was like in that period.
"The children were playing all the games and had so much fun."
