STUDENTS at Belmont School Community Art College are celebrating after they won ten trophies at Darlington Festival for Performing Arts.
The school's head of performing arts, Jane Cooper, said: "The students' hard work and commitment has impressed me. I would also like to thank their teachers for all the time they have given to help."
Belmont's winners were: storytelling - Lauren Stones; choric speech - year ten and 11 teams; solo improvisation class - David Gould; duologue (16 and under) - David Gould and Rachel Roberts; duologue 13 and under -Katherine Wortley and Jennifer Salkeld; Glaxo championship music cup - Belmont wind band; George Williams and Son music trophy - Belmont Brass Ensemble; brass solo (15 and under) Stuart Major; open brass solo - Matthew Roberts; and music composition - Matthew Roberts.
