SCHOOLCHILDREN have been taking part in a language learning event.
A day-long Eurolinks event was held at Hotel Bannatyne in Darlington, and was attended by pupils from the town's Polam Hall School to help them with their French, Spanish and German GCSEs.
The girls worked alongside professional business consultants to complete a series of multi-lingual business tasks on behalf of the fictional Eurolinks Company.
Presentations were also given at the event by Councillor Cyndi Hughes, who is also a researcher for North-East MEP Stephen Hughes, and Kasia Fiderkiewicz, from the Regional Language Network.
Marie Green, Polam Hall headteacher, said: "Events like these are an important part of modern learning and can be a fruitful alternative to the traditional company visit or expensive European trip.
