THE Royal Shakespeare Company presents an adaptation of The Canterbury Tales, by Geoffrey Chaucer, at the Seaburn Centre, in Sunderland, this week.
Set among pilgrims on their way to Canterbury, the production runs until Saturday.
It is in two parts, which can be watched in isolation and do not need to be seen in chronological order.
As part of the RSC's policy to encourage young people to go to the theatre, 20 tickets priced £5 will be available for 16 to 25-year-olds for each performance
The offer is limited to two tickets per person. Proof of identity will be required and tickets must be purchased in person.
A free matinee event, when the audience will have a chance to meet members of the company, will take place tomorrow between 11am and noon.
