GIRLS at a Darlington school proved they are top of the class in the fashion stakes by organising their own show.
Sixth-form students at Polam Hall School raised £800 for Breast Cancer Care through the event, which showcased clothes, hair and make-up from outlets in the town.
Student models were joined on the catwalk by Darlington Football Club stars Adrian Webster and Akpo Sodje.
Darlington stores Leggs, In Arcadia, Binns, Guru, Kate Saint, Dobinsons Bridal, Poppy and Affleck & Moffat supplied the fashion, with make-up by Alison McKay, and hair by Toni and Guy and Rachel Petch.
Headteacher Marie Green said the event was very successful.
She said: "Our thanks go to all the local shops for their support of our fashion show, to our guest models for their time and commitment, and to the organising committee who, as always, learned a great deal from the experience."
