PORTAKABIN subsidiary Yorkon has made three appointments to strengthen its management team.
The off-site construction company, based in York, has promoted ANDREW SIMPKIN to operations manager.
A member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a graduate in construction management, Mr Simpkin now heads up one of two teams responsible for off-site projects in both public and private sectors.
He will oversee retail, health, education and office schemes, from sales and estimating, through to construction and handover of the finished buildings.
REBECCA THOMPSON has been appointed as commercial team manager.
In her role she will manage a team of project controllers and engineers, seeing off-site schemes through the planning, design and manufacturing stages.
The company's new business development manager for London and the South-East is TOM WEAVER.
His career has included positions with Toyota, ten years in business development and several years as a Centre Manager for the Portakabin Hire Division.
He will now be working closely with local authorities and construction companies on the Government's Building Schools for the Future initiative, and with independent healthcare providers and contractors involved in the Independent Sector Treatment Centre programme to increase capacity in the NHS.
