THE Darlington Town Mission has held its annual meeting.
The Venerable Granville Gibson was elected as chairman, the Reverend John Platts as vice chairman, Margaret Senior as secretary and Derek Mills as treasurer.
The mission was formed in 1838 to help the sick, the poor and the lonely in Darlington.
Over the past year, two part-time missionaries have been appointed. The meeting heard that, after discussions with town churches, the mission had accepted office space at Grange Road Baptist Church.
The annual service of thanksgiving will be on Monday, April 24, at Bondgate Church at 7.30pm.
