A THEATRE group is celebrating after winning two awards at Richmond Drama Festival.
Allerton Players, based in Northallerton, won best production and best set for their version of Henna Night by Amy Rosenthal.
The festival, held at the Georgian Theatre Royal, is one of the preliminary rounds of the All England Theatre Festival.
Allerton Players will now go through to the second round, held in Bishop Monkton, near Boroughbridge, at the end of April.
The group is rehearsing for its next full-length production, due to be staged at the Hambleton Forum, Northallerton, on April 20, 21 and 22.
Tickets for the spoof thriller Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime cost £5 and are available from Greensleeves in Northallerton, by calling (01609) 777707, or on the door.
