NORTH Durham MP Kevan Jones is to hold an advice surgery about mineworkers' compensation issues.
The surgery is open to ex-mineworkers and their families who need advice or assistance with their claims for compensation for mining-related illnesses.
It will take place at the Tommy Armstrong Centre, in Stanley, on Saturday, from 11am to 1pm.
Mr Jones said: "Many miners or their families have now had their claims settled, and have received the compensation they deserve. But if your case is ongoing, and you have any concerns, come along and see me.
"I'd particularly like to meet anyone who is concerned about unfair charges or extra fees which have been deducted from their compensation, as this is an issue of particular concern."
All constituents are welcome at the surgery and no appointment is necessary, but it is only for inquiries regarding mineworkers' compensation.
Constituents who have queries about other issues can attend Mr Jones' regular surgeries in Chester-le-Street, Sacriston and Stanley, on Saturday, April 1.
For more information, contact Jamie Thomas, parliamentary assistant to Mr Jones, on 0191-371 8834.
