FOUR teenage quiz buffs successfully took part in a financial service organisation's regional competition.
The team from Endeavour Branch, the local branch of the Foresters charitable organisation, won the plate trophy at the regional quiz in Bradford.
They were Elizabeth Doubleday, of Darlington, Lorraine Smith, of Norton, Megan Todd, of Ingleby Barwick and Lorraine Bainbridge, of Worsall, near Yarm.
They have competed against other teams from around central and northern England in postal quizzes since last Autumn.
In the final of the plate competition they defeated a team from York.
The trophy was presented by Dave Saunders, president of the central and northern England region of the Foresters.
