POLICE have seized cannabis and cannabis plants worth thousands of pounds from two separate houses on the same street.
At 3pm on Thursday, police simultaneously raided the houses in Bruce Crescent, in the West View area of Hartlepool.
In the first house, two 9oz-bars of cannabis were found together with the remnants of a third bar.
Two people were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to supply, and released on police bail.
At the second property, a 33 plant cannabis farm was found in the early stages of growth.
A man was arrested on suspicion of production of a controlled substance, and released on police bail.
The young plants have a potential yield worth about £30,000 and the resin has an approximate value of £1,200, said police. They are trying to establish if there is any link between the two houses.
PC Darren Cass said: "It's another warrant and it's another positive result and part of the ongoing war against drugs in the town."
He warned drug dealers: "There is more to come."
