FIREFIGHTERS are digging out their buckets and sponges for a charity car wash.
Crews from Richmond will accept donations in exchange for sparkling cars at the town's Co-op store, from 10am until 2pm next Saturday.
Money raised will go to Martin House Children's Hospice, in Wetherby, and the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.
Temporary sub officer Mike Dale said: "The whole station will get involved. It is a really good way of raising much-needed money for two good causes."
