A VOLUNTEER support group has set up a scheme to help community organisations across Teesdale and Wear Valley get online.
To many groups, a website is too expensive and difficult to manage, but 2D has set up the scheme to make it possible for their members to get connected to the world wide web.
Working in partnership with a local company called Secure Communication Technologies, 2D members can quickly set up a site, which is also easy to update.
A content management system means that even non-technical group members can add information to the site from their desk, school or home.
Community groups can access the sites at a dis-count rate, thanks to the link-up.
A site will cost an annual charge of £295 for use of the editing system and hosting, and a set-up fee of £200.
